A 1937 Chevrolet in FFL livery

These are the pictures of a 1937 Chevrolet truck in 1:56 scale a customer purchased from me recently. As you can see, he wanted it as a Free French vehicle in North Africa, so carrying a Schneider gun, along with some French artillerymen in British gear. A very nice job IMHO.

1/600 Late Galleon artwork

Please allow me some minutes to introduce our next 1/600 scale Age of Sail ship, a Late Galleon, a sample model of which was recently built and painted by Model J Ship naval workshop along with her earlier sister, as you can see by the pictures in this thread.

Model kit will come in box, complemented by a flagsheet with a 17th Century Catalan ensign, flags and pennant --those very same you're watching in pictures here. This new 03NAV006 Late Galleon is schedueld for release in April 3rd, but eventually interested users can already pre-order her from this web page.

Also, some will perhaps find useful the collection of 17th century Ensigns we are developing, currently covering either naval, merchant and privateer flags of Spain, Portugal, Catalonia, France, Ottoman Empire, England and United Provinces, with more on the way devoted to Venice, Malta, Sicily, some Indies Companies and a handful of pirates.

She's priced the same as her earlier sister --that is, €15.95.

1/72 Nationalist T-26 tanks (own collection)

Just a few pictures to show you some different markings arrangements for a SCW Nationalist T-26 tank, using a model from the (no longer existing, I believe) UM Ukrainian firm, while the other two are hybrids of Minairons and S-Model kits.

I hope that, despite I being definitely far from the skills of a pro painter, the pictures above can serve you as a source of inspiration!

15mm SCW Republican dispatch riders

We've just released a new Spanish Civil War set in 1:100 scale --this time, a set consisting of white metal Republican dispatch riders on Harley Davidson Flathead motorcycles. I'm honored to say that the rider figure has been sculpted as a gift to Minairons by Martin Goddard from Peter Pig. Wish you like the set as much as I do!

Please watch the superb painting job by HeresyBrush on a couple of samples (click on the pictures to see them larger):

We're selling them by the 3 in a blister, priced at €3.95. You can find them here.

Age of Sail demo game

Last weekend, we had a lot of fun at Minairons HQ. Some friends and I held an Age of Sail game using Ganesha Games' Galleys & Galleons rule set on a Caliga vinyl game mat. As the introductory game it had to be, the scenario involved few ships (2-3 each side), showing three different rigging configurations (square, lateen and galleon-like hybrid riggings), so as to get familiar to each.

Winds compass and distance rulers were home made, using recycled materials of every kind. For gamers' ease, I worked out a stats card for each ship that listed their quality and combat ratings, special rules, behaviour face to winds, actions allowance and so.

As for the model ships used, they were mostly from Peter Pig's range #18: two galleons, a brig and a schooner, while the fifth ship was a xebec from a Shapeways artist --all painted by myself (still learning to improve my skills at painting ships, admittedly) and decorated with Minairons ensigns, flags and pennants.

Either both gamers and I (performing as DJ) had a lot of fun with it and are anxious to give another try to Galleys & Galleons again. While in process of agreeing a new gaming date, I'm painting a couple of ships else --this including a Minairons galleon of course!

1/100 Trubia-Naval tank preview

Here you can see what our upcoming Trubia-Naval SCW tank looks like at 1/100 scale.

This model can be considered as pre-built, because hull and running gear have been cast as a single part --so users will only need to glue the weapons of your choice to have the tank finished and ready to paint. Simpler than its 1/72 cousin, then.

Here you have it close to a couple of Panzers I:
